Gorgeous Winter Wedding at Logie House

Jill and I worked together a good 12+ years ago in hospitality. I don't think I could have imagined at that time that I would be trusted with the task of capturing one of the most the most important days of her life! I was delighted to get the email asking me to do so.

From the chat we had over a coffee in Edinburgh, I knew Jill and George were about as relaxed as it was going to get with a bride and groom on their wedding day, nothing was to  be over the top or staged but natural, relaxed and fun!. They didn't really like the thought of being the centre of attention (even though of course would be)s o thats what the wedding was all about, just them, their family and close friends joining them to celebrate their marriage without too much fuss.

Logie Country House, a stunning Scottish Castle dating back to 1492, in one hundred and thirty acres of beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside was the venue of their natural, laid back wedding day. Having exclusive use of this gorgeous house gave everyone a sense of freedom to just go around and enjoy themselves at their leisure. We had a great time waking around the grounds shooting the Bride & Groom portraits even if its was pretty cold and a little wet, nothing that slipping into a pair of wellies and a goose down parka for Jill couldn't fix!

I always love seeing kids at weddings. They can give you some great and unexpected moments to capture and add a little something unique to a ceremony like trying to punch mum or chomping on a bag a sweets in the front row, Im a Dad and I certainly approve of this technique for getting them to be quiet for a few key moments during a wedding day! It was awesome spending time with Jill and George and sharing this day with them that all but flew by way too quickly.

The wedding was a real joy to capture and I feel so fortunate to have been a part of Jill and George's day. A beautiful location that I will definitely return to and a great experience to take away with me.

Congratulations again guys x
