Classy Weddings at Tullibole Castle

Ok, this couple! Chris is a fighter pilot in the Royal Navy and been living in the United States for the last few years and met the gorgeous Ashley. They got Married under the vibrant lights of Vegas where Elvis even walked Ashley down the aisle! They had a second wedding with their family and a battleship in North Carolina. Yes a battleship!  Their 3rd wedding at Tullibole Castle in Scotland was meant that all Chris's family and friends could be there but all the Americans saw it as a great opportunity to have a trip to Scotland! Of course, why not?

It's amazing how relaxed Ashley & Chris were leading up to, and on the day of their wedding, but then again they were marrying each other for the third time in the space of a year so they were very comfortable with the proceedings! The day unfolded into the relaxed event I had anticipated with many of Ashley and Chris family, friends and colleagues joining them to celebrate an American/Scottish love affair. Tullibole castle, nestled in the gorgeous Perthshire countryside provided the perfect setting to host their outdoor ceremony. The ancient castle is surrounded by secluded grounds boasting a 9th Century ruined medieval church, a maze and a 150-yard moat. There's a certain quirkiness to the place. As soon as I entered the grounds in the morning I was greeted with dozens of peacocks running around after each other and Lord Rhoderick asking me if I had seen one of his cows on my travels as he'd lost one! Tullibole really has it all. Its a castle, has a moat, a marquee, stunning grounds and a huge tree with fairy lights and a chandelier in the middle. 

Ashley and Chris still looked as though they were marrying each other for the first time. The ceremony was a mixture of religious and humanist traditions, handfasting with an American flag and tartan cloth and a slight drizzle of rain for good measure.

To the delight of all who attended, there was space hoppers, giant Jenga, lawn games and a free whisky bar! My kind of wedding!
